Bae Tags is a storefront where apparel brands order custom hang tags - pick the size, paper, finish and quantity, watch the price move as you choose, and check out. No quote emails, no waiting for a callback.

Ordering, in one page

Ordering tags usually means sending artwork on WhatsApp and waiting for a rate. Here it is three steps: the basics, the details, the price.

1. The basics

Size, card thickness, single or double-sided, quantity. A live preview shows the tag at real proportions and the estimate updates on every change, so a brand can get to a number without talking to anyone.

2. The details

Artwork, shape and paper, foil and press effects, hardware and string, variable data and packing, proofing. All collapsed by default, so the first screen never reads like a spec sheet.

Step two of the tag builder with finishes and press effects

3. The price, at every quantity

Seven tiers side by side with the per-tag rate and what each one saves. The minimum is 100 pieces, priced the same way as a bulk run, so a first sampling order is welcome.

Behind the storefront

Every tag type is a card in the admin. Its steps, fields, stocks, options and price tiers are data - adding a finish or a new stock is a change in the admin, not a deploy.

When an order lands, the full configuration travels with it, plus a press plan: which board, how many sheets, what sheet size and how many tags print per sheet. What the customer chose and what the press has to run stay in one place.

Where it is now

Live with four stocks — art card, kraft brown board, black board and waterproof PVC — and orders running end to end from cart to GST invoice.

Currently working on

An AI artwork validator and builder. Most tag orders get stuck at the artwork - a low-resolution file, or one drawn for a different size than the tag that was ordered - and someone has to catch it by hand.

Now the check happens at upload. The file's resolution and dimensions are read and compared against the height and width in the order, and anything that isn't print ready is flagged with the reason. From there the customer can log in, fix it with AI right there, verify it again and submit.

No artwork yet? They can create one with AI on the same page, at the tag's exact size, and go straight to ordering.

What’s next

Bae Tags is being built into an end-to-end packaging solution, backed by a community of job-work units that each specialise in one thing - tag printing, satin labels, woven labels, packing material. One storefront, one order, one proof, with the right unit behind each line.

  • Configurable woven and satin labels
  • Printed zipper packing bags and tamper-proof bags
  • Custom branded cardboard boxes and carry bags
  • Pamphlets and thank-you cards
  • Leather labels

Every category follows the same flow as hang tags: configure it, see the price, approve a proof.
